Thanks for stopping by to take a peak at life on Sara Anne Bayou. I’m Shirley and I’ve been rambling around this end of Sara Anne for 12 years now. We all affectionately call it “The Hood”.
It has been a ball and we have made lots of wonderful friends. My husband, Gar, and I have been together since 1990, a second marriage for both of us.

We have three awesome children, Michelle, Patricia and Steven. Our first grandchild, Peyton, was born in October, 2010 so life is full and we are very blessed.

Life has been a grand adventure so far and it just keeps getting better. I love to travel and explore intriguing new places. I find that you come home with a different prospective and wonderful ideas to incorporate into the home and garden. Some of my passions are home decorating, sewing, knitting, remodeling, painting, gardening and various crafts. And through it all a Canon of one sort or another has been clicking away, capturing it all.
I hope you enjoy your visits to the Bayou and come back often. There’s a lot going on in “The Hood" and you don’t want to miss a moment of the fun!
