Christmas has arrived on the Bayou and I couldn’t be happier. The Ultimate Holiday!! You can decorate everything!! Tablescapes, Door Wreathes, Candles in the Window, Raindeer handing in the crystal. The possibilities are endless.
Seven years ago we thought our transition to the sailing life was right around the corner so I gave away almost all of our Christmas decorations, many of the handmade ornaments going to our children. But that didn’t happen and after three years of a decorated palm tree in the living room, Capt Gar had had enough of the faux Christmas and we went shopping. What fun that was and I have been adding every year since.
I grew up in Corning, New York, home to Corning Glass Works and some awesome glass blowers! Thanks to our family holiday ornament exchange, I have these two beauties. Usually they are on the tree but since we are doing the palm tree again this year, I have placed them where they catch the light! Best thing that ever happened and they will be perfect when I am sitting in some secluded harbor in the islands missing Christmas in the states!
Now it isn’t like it used to be and many items will be going on the boat when we set sail, but it does feel like Christmas here at Foxy’s!!
Till next time,
Nutcrackers standing guard in the kitchen!
Just love a man in uniform!! Isn’t he a handsome devil.

Because of lots of travel plans for the holiday season, the palm tree is back on duty! I am even getting pretty decent at decorating it!

Till next time,
Don’t forget to relax and get some sand between your toes!!
