Happy Birthday Peyton!!

Our granddaughter recently turned 3 and each year we try and come up with a present that she will have for years to come.  This year it was a sandbox but not just any sandbox.  Take a look!!

We started with a Walker Bay Dinghy that we have had for many years,

and an umbrella to keep her shaded while playing

Of course, she needed her own personal dock……

It turned out pretty cute!  Love the bright colors that we pulled from the umbrella!

Wishing You a “Hoppy Easter”

Easter TablescapeOur granddaughter, Peyton, is 18 months old now and this was her first real Easter holiday. So it was very important that the décor reflect the playful side of Easter with the bright spring colors.

I love the lime greens and bright yellows against a crisp white tablecloth… unfortunately, the iron decided to die Easter morning.

We had colored eggs earlier in the week and they made the perfect name tags for the day!

The centerpiece was some fun, glittering eggs on a stick that I found at the Dollar Tree and the white petunias that are waiting patiently to be planted.  Maybe this week!

The bunnies were a big hit with kids of all ages.  Thank you Dollar Tree!

Easter Prep

Coloring Easter Eggs
It has been a few years since we have had younger children around to enjoy the Easter bunny with.  Chef Gar and I are both big kids at heart so to be able to get out all of those cookie cutter and egg dyes was heaven for us!

Sugar cookies are so much fun once you finally get them made! And you get to play with the icing pens.  Wahoo!!!
Then it was on the the Easter Bunny Cake.  Have been making this cake since 1970 for my daughter, Michelle and now it’s time to reestablish the tradition for our granddaughter, Peyton…..
